Missions

Our Call to Mission

Let's make 2017 the year EVERY member of Covenant UMC is involved in missions!

Matthew 22:36-40 (NRSV)

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the prophets hang onto these two commandments.”

Through a variety of mission opportunities, we go into the community and throughout the nation to love and serve our neighbors by meeting the needs of the least, the last and the lost.

The 2017 goal of the Missions Committee is to help every member of Covenant UMC find a way to support missions through our baptismal promises:

Prayers – Pray for the mission featured each month, leaders and team members, and those who are served.

Presence – Join us as we worship together each week to focus on God and remember that we serve others because this is what Jesus Christ commands us to do!

Gifts – Consider making a financial gift to help support Covenant UMC missions.

Service – Participate in one of these mission opportunities this year – either directly or indirectly

Witness – Share with your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors the many ways Covenant UMC is serving God by serving others!
