Advent & Christmas

Sunday Morning Worship

The Advent sermon series is Angels Among Us. The angels that appear in the story of Jesus’ birth would have been very comfortable in our world of tweets and hashtags. Their messages were often short and to the point—their favorite line being #DoNotBeAfraid. We will look at the stories of these winged messengers to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds and their reactions to them. We will contemplate what messages we can offer that will counteract a culture of fear and bring #morehope, #morepeace, #morejoy, and #morelove to the world.

Longest Night Service

Saturday, December 9, 4:00 pm

Are you having a hard time finding the joy in this season of Joy to the World? If you are experiencing grief, pain, loneliness, or other losses in this holiday season, or know someone who is, please come to our Longest Night Service. In this intimate and meaningful service, we will light candles, pray, and prepare our hearts to embrace both our own struggles and the birth of Christ.

Christmas Cantata

Sunday, December 17, 8:30 & 10:00 am

Let the Chancel Choir (with chamber orchestra) lift your heart during this special Sunday service. They will present Little Lion, Little Lamb by Heather Sorenson at both morning services. Bring a friend with you, too.
